Student Voice Council

WHO WE ARE

The Student Voice Council is a forum for positive, constructive, and respectful communication around opportunities to enhance the student experience at MATC through student input.  Delegates to the SVC represent their academic area and are selected based on their interest in serving in this role. There are up to two delegates in each academic area.

At each monthly meeting, feedback and discussion around issues ranging from student recommendations, requests for feedback from campus administration, and discussion of facility enhancements occur.

  • Delegates coordinate information sharing with students and instructors in their academic area following each meeting.
  • Delegates regularly solicit ideas and feedback from students in their area to shape the agenda for upcoming meetings and inform the discussion.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A DELEGATE?

  • Let your instructor know that you are interested.
  • If more than two students from your academic department wish to serve, the selection is determined using the following criteria: to ensure a mix in program-type within an area (e.g., certificate and degree students, first and second-year students), the first requester, and random probability selection (by lot).
  • Delegates are acknowledged for their service at graduation and in the graduation program.
