Professional Licensure Disclosures
The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) has regulations in place regarding disclosures about professional licensure and certification programs offered on campuses. The College is required to disclose the applicable educational prerequisites for professional licensure or certification the program prepares the student to enter in any state in which the program’s enrolled students reside, or any other state for which the institution has made a determination regarding such prerequisites.
Students who are planning to apply for licensure in a state other than Kansas after completion of their program, should refer to the information below or contact each state's appropriate licensing board to determine whether the Manhattan Area Technical College program meets licensure requirements in that state.
Please note that licensure requirements are always subject to change and the College has no control over state licensing requirements. Although Manhattan Area Technical College will confirm the licensure requirements on a routine basis, we strongly recommend that students inquire with the professional state licensing board to confirm that and the intended program of choice will meet the requirements for licensure before enrolling.
Newly admitted and current undergraduate students that declare a major will be provided an individual professional licensure disclosure. To facilitate communication, students are encouraged to update their mailing address in MATC Online each term. In addition, program directors are available to individually advise students on state by state licensure requirements.
