Degree Maps
What is a Degree Map?
A Degree Map is a semester-by-semester guide designed to help students complete their degree within four years. While these plans are tailored to first-semester freshmen with no prior college credits, students who have already earned college credits may be able to adjust their Degree Map by replacing listed courses with those they've completed. Each student will work with their academic advisor to create a personalized plan that fits their unique academic journey.
Complementary Academic Resources
While academic degree maps are an excellent starting point, there are additional tools available to support and create a personalized path toward degree completion.
Personalized Academic Plan
My Academic Plan is a tool on MATCOnline that lets you track your degree progress toward completion by integrating MATC's degree requirements with your current, past, and planned courses. It allows you to monitor your journey in conjunction with your academic advisor to create and individualized academic plan.
Student Handbook and College Catalog
You can find detailed information on degree requirements and course descriptions in the Manhattan Area Technical College Student Handbook and College Catalog.
Academic Advising
Academic Advising extends beyond mere scheduling; it forms an ongoing partnership aimed at supporting your success and timely graduation. Academic advisors assist students in setting both short- and long-term goals, offer career information relevant to their degree field, explain college policies and procedures, and leverage their extensive knowledge of campus resources to help students access and utilize these services effectively.
