ADN Academic Criteria - Transfer-In
Active Kansas Recognized LPN License
- Applicants for the Associate Degree of Nursing Completion program must have an active Kansas-recognized LPN license. Effective July 1, 2019, Kansas is the 30th state in the United States to be a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Refer to the website for a complete list of states that are current members of the NLC. If you have questions contact KSBN at 785-296-4929 or review their FAQs. Make sure you hold an active Kansas-recognized LPN Licensure status prior to the completion of the packet.
Complete ATI Anatomy & Physiology Exam
- The ATI Anatomy & Physiology Assessment is a requirement for program entry and must be completed within three years of applying. Practice exams can be purchased through ATI’s website. The test can be scheduled online through RegisterBlast. Refer to our how-to registration guide If you need additional assistance.
Submit Transcript from Practical Nursing Program to Registrar Office
- Applicants for the ADN program will be scored based on their cumulative GPA in their Practical Nursing program. Students are required to have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher to be considered for admission. Transfer courses must have a grade of “C” or higher.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (IF APPLICABLE)
- Associate Degree of Nursing applicants whose primary language IS NOT ENGLISH must demonstrate English language proficiency before the application deadline to be considered for acceptance.
- Students who are required to take the TOEFL must meet the minimum requirements in the categories listed below:
- Writing: 20
- Speaking: 20
- Reading: 19
- Listening: 20
- TOEFL waiver forms can be found online if applicants meet certain standards.
