Virtual SkillsUSA National Competition
In April, Manhattan Tech students Kimberly Fletcher and Chad Wollenberg competed at the SkillsUSA Kansas State Leadership and Skills Competition. Chad competed in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, while Kimberly competed in Medical Math & Terminology. Both received gold medals in their respective competitions. As such, they will be representing the state of Kansas virtually at the Nationals SkillsUSA conference this week.
Starting Wednesday, June 16th and running until Friday, June 18th, they will be on campus in 406, competing virtually against winners from all across the nation in the largest display of skills training in the country. According to the SkillsUSA website, "In 2019, there were more than 6,500 contestants in 106 separate events."
Kimberly (Medical Math & Terminology) - Wednesday, June 16th; 1-3 PM in 406
Chad (Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) - Thursday, June 17th and Friday, June 18th; 11 AM-1 PM in 406
